So, I decided that I needed to put together some beauty resolutions for 2014. Let's jump straight in, shall we?
1. Stop being so fucking lazy with your hair
I'm obsessed with buns. The ease, the simplicity, the cuteness, the ease... Look, buns are awesome, but just not every single bloody day. I must (and will, damn it!) dedicate the time and effort into making my hair look a little fancier.
2. Chillax with the brows
I haven't been doing the full-on brow for a good month or so, and I'm loving it. Much fresher-looking! Plus, not doing much more than a comb-through has shaved off like 10 minutes from my routine. Win. Easy brows for 2014!
3. Wear less foundation
I've fallen back into my cakeface ways. LESS FOUNDATION, ANGE. LESS FOUNDATION.
4. Go nude
I'm very into the dramatic eye and 'done' face, but there's something fantastic about going neutral and wearing less. I want to do it more in 2014! Soft, nude shades on the eyes. A hiiint of blush. Barely-there foundation. Which brings me to number 5...
5. Go hard with skincare
I'm good with taking care of my skin, but there's definite room for improvement. I'm going to start pushing myself to wash my face AS SOON AS I GET HOME. No more "Eh, I'll do it after this three-hour Seinfeld marathon". No. More.
6. Keep up with bodycare
There is no better feeling than jumping out of the shower, post-exfoliation, and smothering myself in a rich body butter or lush body oil. It makes me feel good, mentally and physically. I used to be uber-lazy with putting in bodycare effort, but no longer. Go forth and exfoliate!
7. Try different shit
I have a list of beauty things I want to do, but haven't yet pushed my arse to accomplish. At the top? Contouring. Imma master that shit this year! Also, randomly, fishtail braids. Baby steps.
What are your beauty resolutions for 2014?
